Adam L. Hudgins

Adam Lamont Hudgins 41, was called home to his final resting place Wednesday, February 1st, 2023. Adam was born on November 24, 1981 to Carolyn L. Hudgins and Eric L. DeBerry at OSU Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where he still resided.

Adam is survived by his children; Adam Lamont Jr. and Victor Kenneth Hudgins, mother; Carolyn L. Hudgins (Carla A. Pruitt), father; Eric L. DeBerry, paternal grandmother; Barbara A. Campbell, siblings; Brandon S. Hudgins (Ashley Bunner), Devin (Toccara) DeBerry, KeRon DeBerry, and Wade DeBerry.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Kenneth A. DeBerry, maternal grandparents; Robert L. Hudgins and Pearlie M. Hudgins, and uncle; Robert L. Hudgins.

Throughout his life, Adam always excelled in many different skills and he currently worked as a pipe fitter for Gutridge Mechanical-Electric-Plumbing and Fire. During his years working in the industry, he was able to meet and build a lot of lifelong friendships, which meant a lot to him. Above everything, Adam’s most treasured job in life was being a father to his two sons, Adam Jr. and Victor. He loved sharing time with them doing some of his favorite things like fishing, wrestling, gaming, and so much more. He loved all of his moments of gaming with AJ and that Victor was growing such a love for trains and animals. He was a true provider for his sons and his love for them had no boundaries.

Adam was a man of many hats and a collector of so many interesting and cool items. He had comic books, baseball cards, coins, guns, and shoes to name a few. Reptiles have always been a love and fascination for Adam and that continued throughout his life starting at a very young age, especially with snakes. He was an Ohio man to the core and loved rooting for the home teams, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. When Adam wasn’t working or with his boys and family he could always be found hanging out with friends. He was a friend to many and to everyone else he quickly became family. The bonds he had with those friends are ones that will be forever treasured by all and remembered often.

There aren’t enough words to truly allow everyone to know how unique and amazing of a man Adam was, but those who had the pleasure of meeting him, knew it soon. He was a man of few words at times but his love for life, family, and friends spoke louder than any words needed.
