Albert Carl Mcdonald Sr.

Albert Carl McDonald Sr., age 75. Sunrise December 2, 1940 in Laurel, MS and Sunset August 3, 2016 at St. Anns Hospital in Westerville, OH. Albert was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, earned his Bachelor’s Degree at The Ohio State University and retired as a Medical Specialist from Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Albert was also a member of New Salem Baptist Church and was a 6TH degree Grand Master Black Belt in Karate.. He was preceded in death by his parents Hattie McDonald and Curley and Pauline McDonald Sr., brother Curley McDonald Jr., sisters Earnestine McDonald and Daisy Maxine Hollomon McDonald and granddaughter Samantha McDonald. Left to cherish his memory, wife Samella McDonald, sons Albert Carl (Yolunda) McDonald Jr., and Vernon Lynn McDonald, daughters Alisha Jeneen (Jeffery) McDonald-Douglass, Stefanie Renee McDonald, and Aaliyah Jones-McDonald, brothers Harry McDonald, Larry McDonald, and James (Diana) McDonald, sisters Linda Hersey, Diane (Rev. Raymond) Taylor, Betty Foster, Lillian Scott, 7 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation 11 am and Funeral 12:00 noon,  Friday August 12, 2016, at New Salem Baptist Church 2956 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
