Albert Edward “Butch” Diggs

Albert Edward “Butch” Diggs, age 67.  Sunrise December 23, 1948 in Lester, WV and Sunset January 28, 2015 in Columbus, OH.  Butch was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School where he played on the 1968 Basketball Championship Team.  He was an entertainer, performing with groups such as The Blendations and Crosstown Traffic, and was a vocalist behind James Brown and Johnny Taylor.  Albert was a member of Christ International Outreach Ministries.  He was preceded in death by his parents Albert B. and Anna Jo Diggs, wife Gloria Diggs, and sister Velora Fluellen Cushenberry.  Left to cherish his memory, sons Andre Willis and Randy Cooper, daughters Tosha Moye and Felecia Lee, stepmother Barbara Diggs, brothers Charles B. (Tonya) Diggs, Jeffrey A. (Danell) Diggs, Gregory Walker, Donald Walker, and Ronald Walker, sisters Zola J. Diggs Guess, Donna K. Diggs, Tamela Walker, Teresa Walker and Anita (John), and  a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Visitation 12:00 noon and Funeral 1:00pm Friday, February 6, 2015 at MARLAN J.
