Alee Williams age 85, passed away on January 9th, 2025. Alee was born in Tallahassee Florida on January 6 th, 1940, to the late Anna Mae and Willam Braswell. Alee was a star basketball player in high school and they won a championship. Alee migrated to Columbus to join her sister and brothers. Alee loved bowling and was a part of a bowling league with her husband and sister-in-law (Evelyn). She joined the Trojans Motorcycle club and went by the club name “Sweet Mee.” While involved in the club she enjoyed traveling and visiting different clubs and cabarets. Alee loved planning and being involved with family get-togethers and reunions. 

Alee enjoyed playing cards, especially Bid Whist. Alee loved holidays and cooking, especially making sweet potato pies, enough for each family member to get one of their own. Alee worked at Lazarus and retired from Schottenstein in 2004 after working there for over 20 years. Alee loved watching her soap operas and country westerns. She loved her 5 children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Williams, son Randall James Diggs, daughter Mannie Delores Harden, brothers William, Tommy Lee, Samuel, Baulee, and Eddie Lee Braswell, sisters Sophronia Braswell, and Betty Randolph. 

She is survived by her loving children Gary Diggs, Diana McDougald, and Karen Diggs. Grandchildren Nina Gaiton, Furqan McDougald (Tamika), Ervin Harden Jr. (Danielle), Terrance McDougald (Francis), James Harden, Kimiko Burks (Andre Sr) and Denzel McDougald, as well as her great and great-great grandchildren.
