Allen Keith Jones

ALLEN KEITH JONES was born on August 19, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio to the Union of Allen and Patricia Jones. Early Saturday morning on April 9, 2022, he transitioned from labor to eternal rest.
Keith, Hollywood, Wood, Coach Wood, or Keith Beef as he was affectionately known, received his formal education from the Columbus Public School system graduating in 1980 from Walnut Ridge High School. After graduation, he attended Central State University. After leaving Central State University he returned to Columbus, Ohio and began employment with the Central Ohio Psychiatric Hospital and subsequently retired from the United States Postal Service.

As a Member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, he served on the food pantry ministry and mentored young men.

On August 23, 2014, he united in matrimony to his longtime love Zeta Moore. To this union they shared in the love of seven children.

Leaving us rich with memories, Hollywood loved socializing with his family and friends. Many loved him for his compassionate ways and his caring heart. Wood loved to watch his sports and was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan. Win or lose, he was always draped in Browns gear representing the Dawg Pound. He loved listening to Charlie Wilson, Houdini, Guy, and Chuck Brown songs. When those songs were played, he would bop his head, and hit the dance floor with his signature moves. For many years he coached youth football for the Mifflin Sharks, where he impacted young men’s lives. If you knew him, you would know that his larger than life personality and smile could brighten up any room.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, brother, Hosea Jones; uncle, Marvin Jones; and great-niece, Italy Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Zeta Jones; parents, Allen Jones, and Patricia Jones; children, Aletha (Brandt) Carter, Brittani Jones, Keith Massey, Dominic “DJ” (Heather) Jones, Keith Jones II, Bryant Jones, Kadiejah Jones; grandchildren, Domiyon Jones, Dominic Jones Jr., Damaiya Jones, Dillan Jones, Kylion Weller-Massey, Cayden Jones, Sky Jones, Baylee Rodgers, and Cari Jones; siblings, Julie McDuffie, Marvin (Brenda) Jones, Shannon (Robert) Prince, Jonina (Jay) Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
