Andre Lavelle Brown

Andre Lavelle Brown was born on December 25, 1972 in Columbus, Ohio to Eugenia Caldwell and the late Michael E. Lewis. Andre accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Christ Memorial Baptist Church. Andre attended Briggs High School in Columbus, Ohio. Andre was an avid boxer and he boxed at the Blackburn Recreation Center under Coach Pruitt. Andre truly loved his family, especially his mother. Andre worked with his stepfather, Alivin Caldwell for construction for many years. Andre loved God. He was such a loving brother and loyal friend. He was full of life and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He loved to make everyone laugh.

On Sunday, May 17th at the age of 47, his earthly journey was fulfilled. Andre was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Anthony (Tony) Brown; maternal grandmother, Inez Frances Brown; maternal grandfather, Julius Brown; paternal grandfather, Richard Lewis; paternal grandmother, Margaret Lewis; uncles, William (Billy) Brown and Donald C. Brown; and aunts, Martha Butch, Maryann Brown, and Shirley Brown.

He leaves to cherish, loving mother, Eugenia R. (Alvin) Caldwell; brother, Kevin Cook and Michael Lewis; sisters, Pamela Y. Brown, Michelle (Tyrone) Bays, Adrah C. Forrest, Valerie (Darrell) Scott, and Kimberly (Timothy) Pearson; aunts, Deborah Brown, Jasmine Lewis (Wallace Mclean), Phyllis (Alan) Moore, and Gail Lewis all of Columbus, Ohio, Sandra (James) Canady of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Wesi (Carlton) Kennebrew of Atlanta, GA, Beverly Brown of St. Louis, MO, Louis Drinkard of Toccoa, GA; special nephews, Devin (Jonte) Brown, and Anthony Dashawn (Tone-Tone) Brown; special cousins, Elvis Brown, Deidra Reese, and Asa Brown; uncle, Joseph Brown of Toccoa, GA; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends , including special friends Adrienne Boone, Marquisa Goodgame, Sheena Pickens, Wardelle Barnett, Avery Brock, Antwan Green, Lawrence Smith, and Craig Johnson.

Private services Visitation 10AM and Funeral Service 11AM Thursday, May 28, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). A mask is mandatory for service.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
