Andrea Carter Wilks

A guardian Angel has been called to our heavenly father on September 22, 2017 Andrea Laverne Carter-Wilks was the 1st girl out of 6 siblings. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on March 29, 1969.

As a teenager her and her family relocated to Columbus, Ohio where she attended Groveport Madison High School. Soon after she began her own family where she had 5 beautiful daughters who gave her 17 beautiful grand-children. She loved being a grandmother. She was in a long term relationship for 16 years with Robert Patterson. She was very cheerful, full of life, and extremely photogenic. Her smile was very contagious. For most of you who knew her, she had many different nicknames. “Dre” “Booty” “Face” “Smurf” “Infinity”. She had a heart of gold. She would give her last if she had to. As stubborn as she was, she made a huge impact on everyone’s lives whom she came in contact with.

Andrea was preceded in death by her grandparents Whitfield Carter and Lucille Carter, father Joseph Jones, brother Bobba-Lee Carter.

She leaves to cherish in her memory mother Evie Jones, Sister Terri (Donnie) Carter, brothers Gary Carter, Timothy (Jessica) Carter, Garett Carter, daughters Kanisha (Bernard) Carter-Cumberlander, Tiffany (Jorge) Carter-White, Osheuna Carter, Darcia Sumling, Mich’-lea (Eric) Turner, childhood best friends Velma Davis, Nanita Williams, 17 Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
