In Loving Memory of Andrew Marshall

Early Monday morning, December 25th, 2023, the celestial call echoed through the heavens, beckoning Andrew Marshall to his eternal home. “Andrew, your room is ready. In your mansion of eternity, your bed is made forever.” On December 31, 1943, in Evergreen, AL, Emmanuel and Fannie Mae Marshall welcomed the world to the life of a man who would leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Andrew’s journey through life led him from the quaint town of Evergreen, where he attended school, to the industrious city of Mansfield, Ohio. In 1969, he embarked on a career with Ohio Brass Co., dedicating over three decades of his life until its closure in 2001. Unyielding to the prospect of retirement, he continued his professional journey at Newman Technology Inc. until his second retirement.

His spiritual journey began early, as he professed his faith in Christ at Zion Baptist Church. Throughout his life, Andrew embodied the values of love, resilience, and unwavering faith.

Andrew is now reunited in Heaven with his parents, Emmanuel and Fannie Mae, his daughter Denise, and his brother Elroy Marshall. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

His memory will be lovingly preserved by his daughter Felecia Hall of New Albany, OH, and son Cornelius (Shree) Marshall of Spring Lake, North Carolina. The warmth of his presence will continue to be felt through his grandchildren: Destiny Marshall, Deshawn Marshall, Christian Hall, and Mahogany Marshall, as well as his great-grandson Jaycee Amiama.

In mourning, Andrew’s brothers Jerome (Mae Ola) Marshall, Hubert (Gloria) Marshall, Dr. Grealy Marshall of Evergreen, AL, and sisters Eunice Johnson of Evergreen, AL, and Juanita (Joel) Brown of Montgomery, AL, stand united in remembering a brother whose life enriched theirs in countless ways.

A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD 753 McPherson St. (formerly Williams Funeral Services) on Saturday, December 30, 2023. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment at Second Brooklyn Church Cemetery, in Evergreen, AL. Those arrangements will be entrusted to PRESLEY-FLUKER FUNERAL HOME in Evergreen, AL.

As we mourn the loss of Andrew Marshall, let us also celebrate the vibrant life he lived and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
