Anita Lee Hanks

Anita Lee (young) Hanks, at age 88, gained her wings and went peacefully home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy May Cunningham (Saunders), Gus Young, William Earl Hanks, Sr. and William Earl Hanks Jr.

Anita Hanks was born August 19, 1935, she graduated from Central High School and worked for the State of Ohio for over 30 years. She accepted the Lord at an early age and became a Sunday school teacher. Anita later married William Earl Hanks Sr. And had 5 children, Susan Hanks, Shari (Timothy) Howard, Salema Hanks, and Shane (Toya)Hanks.

Anita Hanks was a special breath of fresh air to anyone who knew and needed her. She was a very strong and independent woman all of her life and left a long impression in the heart of all she knew. She will be cherished and dearly missed by all of her children, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, also her family, and friends.
