Ann Anderson

Mrs. Ann Julia Anderson was born December 31, 1919 in Deep Step Georgia; the daughter of Augustus Buck and Nora Buck. She departed this life to be with the Lord on January 21, 2018, at Eastland Care Center.

Ms. Ann was a long-time member of Clair UMC and she accepted the lord at an early age at her home church in Tate, Georgia. Mother, as she was affectionately called by her children (and others) was also a loving grandmother and cherished aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ollie V. Anderson; her siblings Augustus Buck Jr, Lorene Jackson, Irene Padgett, Mary Hall, Ennis Buck and baby brother Fred. Also, dear niece Frances Western, and great granddaughter Angenea Dejarnette.

Mother loved life and had many interest and hobbies including bowling, reading and studying the Bible and historical novels. She was involved in United Methodist Women’s Holloway Circle, the Usher Board, and Clair’s summer lunch program. Mother’s birthday was December 31, and she loved to have a New Year’s Eve party where everybody was welcome old and young alike.

She is survived by her children Sandra Carroll, Cheryl L. (Samuel) Guice, Judith Sharpe, her only son, Kim V. (Sharon Beckham) Anderson, Dale Vanessa Bennett, Karen (Roosevelt) Reedus. Also leaving to cherish her memory, grandchildren, Shawyn (Christine) Carroll, Kellie Turner, Michael (Robin) Anderson, Darrell Tuff, Heather Guice, Jeff (Tonya) Bennett, Angela Guice, Tiffany Thomas, Brandon (Noelle) Anderson, Whitney Carroll, Nichol Beckham, and Sequoya Reedus-miss lucy. Twenty-eight great grandchildren; twenty-seven great great-grandchildren. A host of loving nieces and nephews, including Eloise (Babs) Gordon, Lois Jean Dave, Vivian (Bay) Crowder, Kamal Shabazz, Jennifer Lynne (Herb) Carter, John Jackson, Buck Jackson, Gordon Jackson and Rev Clarence Hall.

Ms. Ann Julia loving matriarch and friend will be greatly missed by all. We love you, Mother.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Saturday, January 26, 2018 at Clair United Methodist Church, 293 E. Barthman Ave.

Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
