Ann Lois Jordan

Ann Lois Jordan, 83, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born on May 24, 1938 in Dawson, GA to Willie C and Neva Lee James.

A 1956 graduate of Mansfield Senior High, Ann worked at Mansfield Tire & Rubber but her number one priority was being a devoted wife to her husband John, loving mother to Greg and Ursula and a doting grandmother to her five grandchildren.

Ann was a member of Calvary COGIC in Cleveland Ohio where she, along with her husband, were unofficial co-founders of The Follow Up Ministry. When she was unable to travel to Cleveland, Ann would faithfully attend Faith Temple COGIC, where she was an active part of the ministry. For many years she was a member of Greater St. John COGIC where she was a Choir Member and very active in the Women’s Department and was a two time recipient of Woman of the Year; 2001 & 2006.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents Willie C and Neva Lee James; husband of 56 years John S. Jordan; sister, Rosella (King) Jones; brothers in law, John Mayes, Virgil Chancey, Robert Crutchfield, George (Betty) Jordan, William (Jean) Jordan, James Jordan, Bishop Walter E. Jordan Sr. sisters in law, Sharlene (Coyete) Jeter, Gladys (Rudy) Burton and special daughter Marquerieta Love.

Left to cherish her memory, son Superintendent Gregory (Karin) Jordan; daughter Ursula (Chaplain Damon) Butts; grandchildren, Jasmine Jordan, Edward Avery, Gregory John Samuel Jordan, Jonathan Avery Sr., and Jameel Butts; great grandchildren, Nya Metz, Josiah Avery, Lincoln Avery, Jonathan Avery Jr., Juri Butts and Jerzy Avery; sisters, O’Dell Chancey, Supervisor Emeritus Mattie Mayes and Bonnie Crutchfield; sisters in law, Carolyn Ann (Charles) Reed, Co-Pastor Shirley Jordan and Ethelene Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Family will receive visitors at 889 Red Oak Trail starting March 17th Thursday- Saturday from the hours of 4pm – 7pm.

Visitation 4:00pm and Home Going Service 5:00pm Sunday March 20, 2022 at The Oasis of Love COGIC 190 Chester Ave. Private Interment at Mansfield Cemetery.
