Anthony Donnell Cato

It is with sadness that we are here today announcing this passing. This man was a beloved son, brother, father, and uncle. On October 17, 2023 at 5:18 am Anthony Donnell Cato lost the battle for his life at Grant Medical Center. Many of you may know him as ‘Youngin’ so that’s how we will address him here today.

Youngin was born on August 26, 1985 in Cleveland, Ohio. Though this was his birthplace, he would not call this home. Starting his footsteps in Atlanta, Georgia, they would lead him to Massillon, Ohio where he attended middle school, and Canton, Ohio where he then attended Canton McKinley High School. Growing up in these places made them dear to him, but he would set out to venture the world. Going from city to city, state to state leaving a piece of his love with all that he came in contact with. Youngin found a love for music and became a rapper. He would spend many hours in the studio making music and performing on stage.

Anthony is the brother of the late Christopher Cato and uncle to the late Montrez Bradford. He is survived by his sons, Kyzir Green, Anthony Cato Jr, and Kavonte Reid, daughters Indya Hodge, and Ayah Harris, Grandmother Jessie (Jonathan) Cato, Mother Donyale Roberson, Father Derrick Ransaw, Sisters Jameika Cato, Deerica (Tee) Jefferson, Princess Ransaw, Brothers Derrick Ransaw, Jordan Ransaw, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Throughout his time on earth Youngin developed relationships with people whom he loved dearly, and blood couldn’t make them any closer; a host of special aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special children.

Youngin will be missed dearly and his memories will be cherished amongst us all. Keep his family and loved ones in prayer as they maneuver through these troubled times.
