Anthony Ezel Johnson

Anthony Ezel Johnson was born on December 28, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Cecil and Betty Johnson. He departed this life on July 10, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Tony gave his life to Christ at an early age when he was baptized at Love Zion Baptist Church. Anthony attended Gahanna Lincoln High School and Linden High School. He also played little league football where he developed his love for the Green Bay Packers. Tony was an avid landscaper and at one time, was employed by Harper Industries as well as Eagles Market.

His hobbies were fishing, dancing, WWE wrestling, visiting friends on his street, making bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches and visiting his Auntie and shaking his leg “you see my leg shaking?”. Tony never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Tony truly loved and adored his nieces and nephews, who in return, loved him just as much and lovingly called him “Uncle George”.

Anthony is preceded in death by maternal grandparents; James and Lucy Glover, paternal grandparents; Henry and Katie Johnson, father; Cecil E. Johnson, mother; Betty McCurdy and step-father; Troy McCurdy.
