Anthony Bernard Nabors Sr.

On January 7, 1958, in Mansfield, Ohio, the Lord saw it fit to loan his son, Anthony Bernard Nabors Sr to this world. The eldest son of 6 born to Carlene Nabors and his father Alvin Roane. 

Anthony received his formal education at Crestview High School where he achieved many accolades for his athleticism. He received his trade school education at Pioneer vocational school. For four decades, Anthony dedicated his career to General Motors, serving as a Tool and Die Supervisor from 1978 until his retirement in 2018. His expertise and commitment to his work were a testament to his skill and dedication.

 On Tuesday, September 12, 2024 at 12:32 am, the lord saw it fit to retrieve his son Anthony Bernard Nabors Sr, and grant him eternal life. He was preceded in death by his Mother Carlene Nabors, Father Alvin Roane, brothers Dwayne Nabors and Michael Johnson.

 Anthony loved to golf, fish, and take photographs but most of all he loved his family and close friends. He was a cherished member of his family and will be deeply missed by his loved ones. He would give the shirt off his back to make sure others had what they needed. His legacy of hard work, integrity and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him. Anthony was a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend. 

He is survived by his children, Anthony Bernard Nabors Jr. Taheera Nabors and LaCresia Brown (Aaron Brown). His sisters Doris Nabors, Teresa Nabors, Carol Ann Johnson, Pamela Burrage-Tanner, Pam Crotty, brothers James Nabors, Glen Nabors, and Douglas Burrage. 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A private memorial service will be held to honor his life and achievements. 

Anthony's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
