Arnetta Cox

Arnetta Pearl Cox was born January 2, 1953 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to the late Mary Reeves and Caloway Reeves Sr.

Arnetta, commonly known as "Neta", was called home to her Heavenly Father the morning of October 2, 2024.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt Hermon Missionary Baptist Church by the late Reverend Doughty.

She attended Linden McKinley and later graduated from Central High School. Arnetta dedicated her career to the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DCSC) as a Transportation Coordinator, where she was known for her commitment and compassion. Her work positively impacted the lives of many.

She was the proud mother of Donnie and Delayna Reeves. She went on to marry her beloved Fred “Skip” Cox (Popi) on February 14, 2001. Through her marriage to Fred, she gained three bonus children; Kevin Lee, Angie Lee, and Brandon Cox. As well as several in laws, Anna Harris, Richard Cox, John (Lisa) Cox and George (Dawna) Cox.

Arnetta is remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory, her two children, Donnie (Nikki) Reeves and Delayna Reeves;  her four grandkids, Chelsea Reeves, Nikela Johnson, Desiree (Muhtadi Edgar) Johnson, and DeMichael Reeves; great grandson, Kayson Elliot Reeves. Furthermore, she leaves behind her siblings, Willia (Frank) Harvell, Caloway (Jonnie) Reeves, Michael Ray (Darlene) Reeves, Kevin Reeves, Tamara (Leonard) Valentine, Tobbi Reeves (Uncle Mo).

Arnetta is preceded in death by parents, Mary and Caloway Reeves Sr.; her sisters, Valerie, Kim, and Brenda; her brothers, Charles, Terry, Torrence, Duane, and Keith; her nieces and nephews, Kia (Makia), Frank (Jerk) and Gary (Michael). Lastly, she leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends turned family that she held dear to her heart.

Arnetta’s presence, smile, joy and love will continue to embrace all who loved her. Her gentle heart, fits of laughter, shared jokes, and silly nature will leave everyone with continuous chuckles and permanent memories.
