Asia Mone’ Houston

Asia Moné Houston left us on February 28, 2024 at the early age of 32 years old. She was born March 29, 1991 to Cynthia Rawls and William Houston. She lived in Mansfield, OH and later moved to Columbus, OH where she grew up with her brothers William Michael Houston and Dapreis Dominique Owens.

Asia graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 2009 and recently completed her undergraduate degree as a Dental Lab Technician. She had a huge heart and those close to her knew she would give you the shirt off of her back if needed. Not only did she have a deep love for her family and friends, she was a Christian and loved The Lord as well as the community at One Church.

Being the oldest granddaughter born on both her mother and father’s side of the family, Asia was a natural protector. She was truly a girl’s girl who loved her long ponytails, shiny lip gloss, and lashes. Asia was confident and was unapologetically herself which made her so uniquely special and enjoyable to be around. She truly impacted each and every one of us in the most profound way by the way she smiled, loved, and nurtured.

Asia was a daddy’s girl, and the relationship she had with her mother was special––more like best friends. At times she considered herself her grandmother’s youngest daughter because of the close relationship they shared. She also had a great relationship with her paternal grandmother as well as her great Aunt.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her loving mother, Cynthia Rawls and father, William P. (Rose) Houston; siblings, William M. Houston (brother), Whitley Houston (sister), Dapreis D. Owens (brother), Ja Vaughn (Maya) Graves (special cousin/ brother), Teshaya Carter (special cousin/ sister), RaBrell Lee (step-brother), and Aaliyah Lee (step-sister); maternal grandparents, Catherine Vance and Earl T. Rawls (deceased); paternal grandparents, Margorie Lovan and Michael Crutcher; great-aunt, Catherine Leonard; aunts, Kathy Flagg, Tammy (Ralph) deChabert, L’Tanya (Dennis) Stanfield, Regina (Darren) Graves, Latoy’lia Houston; uncles, Alex (Marilyn) Rawls, Brandon (Jennifer) Gilmore and Charles Leonard, along with a host of special cousins, family, and friends.
