A’Yanta “Aj” Jarmon

Ayanta Arian Jarmon, 18, of Canal Winchester, OH entered into eternal rest at Grant Medical Center on July 30, 2022 at 4:12 am. AJ, as she was affectionately known, was born on February 26, 2004 in Columbus, OH to Franklin Jarmon of Reynoldsburg, OH and LaShonda Campbell of Sharon, PA.

AJ attended HS2 at Reynoldsburg High School Livingston Campus where early on she had a passion for education in healthcare. She graduated from Reynoldsburg on May 24, 2022 with a 3.0 grade point average. During her time in school, AJ was a well-rounded student. She loved sports and participated in cheerleading and track and field. AJ was also a member of multiple competition cheerleading teams including The Northwest Panthers, and Cheer Athletics in which her membership with the team started at the tender age of 5. She recently joined the work force with her first job after graduation at Hot Chicken Takeover where she was a valued employee.

AJ was set to attend the University of Cincinnati where she planned on majoring in Allied Health and Sciences and Physical Therapy. AJ also had plans on participating in cheerleading for the university.

AJ was loved by many. She shared her meek and fun loving personality with all those that she came in contact with. Whether she was cheering on the field or sharing on social media, she brought a contagious energy along with her that could not be denied. Her personality and smile would illuminate whatever space she was in. Everything about AJ was infectious. She will forever be missed and never forgotten.

AJ was preceded in death by her grandfather Keith Campbell and her uncle Johnny Green.

AJ is survived by her father Franklin Jarmon, her mother, LaShonda Campbell, her grandparents Karen Wilder, Burrell Jarmon, Jeanette and John Hales; her uncles DeVon Campbell and Michael Gillespie both of Sharon, PA, Joshua (Monica) Jarmon and Daniel Jarmon both of Columbus, OH, her God Parents RaShawn and Taneeka Sykes of Pickerington, OH and a host of other family members, friends, teammates, classmates and loved ones.
