Betty Miser

To be absent from the body means to be present with God. Our dearly beloved mother, Betty Miser, age 84 passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 after battling a long illness.

Betty was born number 7 of 9 children on August 19, 1934 in Eastgulf, WV. She graduated from Simmons High School in Montgomery, WV. After high school graduation she moved to Farmville, VA where she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She moved her family to Ohio in 1970 where she worked for Accuray and was an electronic specialist. Betty had a passion for cooking, fishing, traveling and spoiling her grandkids. She attended Woodland Christian Church where she served on numerous committees and sang in the choir.

Betty is preceded in death by her mother and father Charlie and Nora Baker, son Raymond Miser, siblings, Charles (Buster), Thomas, Elizabeth (Lizzy), Phyllis, Rosa, Lila Mae and Maggie. Betty leaves to cherish her memories son Ivan Miser (DeDe) of Columbus, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, her significant other Emery Taylor, brother Clearance Baker of Farmville, VA, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Interment at Glen Rest Cemetery.
