Beverly Ann Leigh

Beverly Ann Leigh, a beloved member of the Columbus community, peacefully departed this world on November 7, 2023. Born on May 21, 1953, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of Lillie Leigh and the late James Leigh Sr. Beverly’s lifelong journey touched the lives of so many, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of her loved ones.

With a zest for life, Beverly embraced joy in every moment. She had a vibrant spirit and a radiant smile that would light up any room. Beverly’s love for bingo and trips to the casino brought her excitement and countless hours of entertainment. She had a green thumb and delighted in tending to her garden, creating a colorful oasis of beauty. Exploring new destinations was another passion she held, as she ventured on adventures, always seeking new experiences. She loved sports and spent countless hours watching The NBA.

Additionally, Beverly had an eye for fashion and thoroughly enjoyed shopping for the latest trends, adding a touch of glamour to her life.

Throughout her journey, Beverly cherished the time spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come. She was a loving mother to her daughter Annette Leigh and son James P. Leigh, and a devoted sister to Michael Leigh and Brenda Young. Beverly’s presence brought immeasurable joy to the lives of her grandchildren – Annea Brown, Semaj Wright, Jaliyah Missouri, and Sakiya Wright – who brought her endless love and happiness. She is survived by her mother, Lillie Leigh, her special friends, Tira Ray and Beatrice McAllister, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 9am and Funeral 10am Monday November 20, 2023 at Marlan Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace East 5456 E. Livingston Ave. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.

Beverly Ann Leigh’s legacy of love, laughter, and unmatched zest for life will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
