Beverly Ann Parks

Beverly Ann “Mama” Parks peacefully went home to be with her lord and savior, Wednesday morning September 8th 2022 at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Logan, West Virginia to Bernice Knaff and Fredrick Parks Sr. on September 28, 1952 later relocating to Columbus, Ohio where she attended Linden-McKinley and graduated in 1972.

Mama will be missed for her sweet but very spicy personality. She was very giving and caring but very outspoken. Born a Libra she would be turning 70 at the end of this month. She loved her children and grandchildren very much, if you know her she did not play about any of them. Mama had a heart of gold and a humble soul, everyone who knew her knew she was about her business and stayed to herself. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter Cherrita, going to yard sales, cooking, and spending time with her grandkids on the weekends. Beverly worked for riverside Methodist hospital for from 1986-2007 and retired at the young age of 55. She will be missed deeply.

Mama is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Knaff; grandparents, James and Etta Mae Knaff; aunts and uncles, Eva Gammon, Estella Onyx, Mary Callaway, Nannie Norah, Lacona Knaff. Alfonzo Knaff, John Knaff, Melvin Knaff, and James Knaff; and cousin, Harold Ray Knaff.

Mama leaves to cherish her memories and will sadly missed by her 2 children, Jermaine L Parks Sr. and Cherrita (Arnold J. Morris) Parks  all of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Roderick and Frederick Jr; sister, Adrianne; cousins, Deborah, Tony, Mitchell, Kenneth, Sandra, and William; special cousins, Priscilla Knaff, Stanley Knaff, Daryl Knaff, Diana Knaff, and Patrica Gammon; grandchildren, Alexis Graham of North Carolina, Brandyn Parks, Anaisa Parks-Morris, Jermaine L Graham- Parks Jr, Jacklyn Graham-Parks, Tahje and Tiana Brown; great-grand, Jah’aer Graham-Parks; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, September 17, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
