Bobbie Dingess, Sr

Bobbie Lynn Dingess Sr. went home peacefully to be with the Lord on the evening of November 2, 2023, he was surrounded by his loving family and friends in Columbus, OH at the age of 71. Bobbie was one of six children born on September 6, 1952, in Pineville, WV. to the late George and Rosa Dingess. He attended Linden McKinley HS in Cols, OH, and went on to join the Navy where he was a lead Machine Tech on the Naval Ships. He had his first-born Rhonda Dingess shortly after leaving the Navy. He later married Sheila Wadsworth-Dingess of 37 years until 2013 and they had three children together, Jessie, Rosalynne, and Bobby Jr. Bobbie adored his 12 grandchildren and loved family time. He later got engaged to Muhammadi (Robbin) Armour. Bobbie was well known for his falsetto singing, playing the keyboard, and harmonica, his laugh, his beautiful smile, listening to live music, and the wonderful talks he shared with anyone he knew; a loyal man of family and a friend to anyone he encountered. He was an all-around handyman who would jump in to help when he felt the need to anyone. Bobbie loved family, no matter if you were blood or not, he would embrace you like one of his own. The genuine love, compassion, support, dedication, and
inspiration he showed to everyone was one-of-a-kind. He dedicated a hard work ethic with companies: Conrail, Capital City Tires, BWC; The William-Green Building, Jones-Lang LaSalle, and CITI before retiring. Bobbie always worked side jobs all around in his spare time. He was a father figure to many who loved and cherished him. Bobbie always put God first and to whom God called him back home.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories and was proceeded in death by his Children: Rhonda Dingess (Don Perkins), Jessie Dingess (Christopher Green Sr), Rosalynne Dingess, and Bobby (Andrea) Dingess Jr,; Special Son: Lee Smith; Bonus Sons: Lamont Dingess, Rolond Prysock; Fiancée Muhammadi (Robbin) Armour; Ex-wife Sheila Wadsworth-Dingess; 12 Grandchildren: Jaylen, Cyn, Jaquan, Marcell, Eilon, Aiden, Rosen, Corbin, Jeremiah, Zoe, Ezekiel, Ezra; Sisters: Anna (the late Issac) Williams, the late Brenda (Ralph) Dingess-Mckoy, Diane Dingess, and Sheri (Robert) Williams; Brother: the late George Dingess ll. Special Friends: Bee Tolber, Patricia Clark, the late Sam Hoyt, Clara Meadows, Clarice Kinard, the late Papa Smurf, the late Greg Brannon, the late Don Preston, Frank Jefferson, Dwayne Shavers, Clifford Pate, Joe Buechner, and James Heglar. Special Cousins: John Keaton, John (Lakesha) Hunter. A host of so many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday, December 8, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Entombment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
