Bobby A. Forte

Bobby A. Forte was born September 7, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio. He transitioned from this life on April 16, 2023. He is preceded in death by his loving Mother, Ardie Forte, and Father, Walter Leon Forte.

He lived in Eastgate, went to Eastgate Elementary, Sherwood Middle School, and graduated from East High School in 1984, where he was a manager for the basketball team. He was always the life of the party. He had a one hand hook that he always made, and the team loved it but was jealous. The team appreciated him because he was one who joked and kept things lighthearted. Whatever part he played, he loved.

As a child he attended Union Grove Baptist Church, Halls Memorial Church of God and Christ, and Lilly of the Valley Church of God in Christ.
Bobby was a delivery driver for Commercial Movers Company and a general maintenance worker in the Columbus area most of his life. Bobby was known by many as “The Good Guy”. He was one who was willing and available to be there for you. Special is who he was to his childhood friends Danny Hooks and Marlon Foster. Always willing to help neighbors doing whatever he could. Bobby had a lot of friends because he cared about others and never knew a stranger. Everybody who got to know him loved him.

Bobby was a family man who loved Tammy whom he fondly called “Old Girl”. His smile and laugh would light a room. He loved to cook and grill barbecue chicken, black-eyed peas, okra, and make strawberry cake. His favorite foods were spaghetti and pizza. Bobby also loved sweets. He loved dogs, especially Pitts. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. He didn’t play about his girls, school and getting good grades. He always helped with homework. He was very smart about many things, especially math. Bobby loved us and we knew it. He was his own doctor and was very private about his own issues and put everyone else before his own. He was truly a man that did believe in God and always willing to serve others (John 13:34-35).

Bobby leaves not to mourn but to cherish his memories: His brother, Pastor, Leon Forte, and Sister Beverly Forte; Girlfriend of 23 years Tammy Watts, Daughters: Cursten Richardson, Shicole Watts and Jamya Watts Grand Children: Elegance Amari Garner, Myka’Leiyah Keniece Carlislle, Zhariana Richardson-Harris, and Mila Jae Coward-Watts: Cousin/Brother: Lyndon Wallace: Niece: Karris Forte, Nephew: Aaron Forte and many other cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
