Bryan grew up in a neighborhood known as Gladstone and attended Northland High School. He was an STNA as well as a CPO. Bryan was a former employee of Value City and he was a member of Sharon Woods Baptist Church.

If you knew Bryan you will never forget his smile which could brighten even the darkest of days. You’ve also probably heard his catch phrase “from the heart” He always said this after he gave advice or expressed his affection. i.e I love you “that’s from the heart” If you need me I’m here “that’s from the heart”. It was important to Bryan that those he loved understood that when he expressed his feelings they were indeed “from the heart” Bryan was a standup guy and a role model to many young people in the Winding Hills/Walnut Creek area. Those Bryan came in contact with went from strangers to friends in an instant. Those who were closest saw firsthand the pain he dealt with on a daily basis, but this did not stop him from tending to the needs of others. He was in a word SELFLESS! The pain he endured was great and weakened his body but it NEVER affected his beautiful spirit.  In fact it almost seemed as though his pain was like fuel to his fire for God. When I myself questioned this seemingly unshakeable faith he would simply reply “God has my back” and that was that.  Bryan was a Michigan fan but we loved him anyway. Year after year he would sit during the OSU Michigan game amongst a sea of scarlet and gray sporting his maize and blue and we still kept him in the family. If you will, take a moment to think of the Bryan you knew and loved.  All relationships are personal. They are based on our own experiences. If you feel the need to cry I hope they are tears of joy and not sorrow. Bryan never wanted anyone in his presence to be sad. If you ever wronged him take comfort in knowing you were forgiven. Bryan didn’t hold grudges. His spirit was too pure for such things.  As I close out the most difficult item I have ever written I ask that if you cared for my brother you would remember this scripture. John 8:36 Therefore if the Son makes you free you shall be free indeed! Let us all rejoice! No more pain! Our Bryan is free indeed!

With love from the Wilkey/Duff Family
