Carmen D. Palm

Carmen Denise Palm, age 65 Sunrise September 11, 1957 and Sunset December 22, 2022. Carmen was a loving Mother, Daughter, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend to many.  Born in Columbus, Ohio to the parents of Mary L Paschal and Ben Jones.

Carmen attended Eastmoor High school, where she graduated, and went on to attend Business School at Ohio State Cosmetology School. Eventually Carmen would go on to work at AT&T/OHIO BELL for over 20 years, before venturing off into Real Estate as a Realtor for Caldwell Banker. Carmen’s vision before her passing, would also detail Naomi Ruth Vision a housing shelter for family, friends, disadvantaged and abused women.

Carmen loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed Giving, Mentoring, Shopping, Baking Cakes, Dancing, Listening, Serving the Lord, and traveling, especially to LAS VEGAS. Everyone knows how much Carmen loved LAS VEGAS. Carmen also found much pleasure in spending time with her Sister Evon Palm, who she referred to as Mom, and the countless trips to MCL Cafeteria. Carmen enjoyed Shopping, and (Baby), Classy she was, ok! A True Classic! whether it was actually shopping, or window shopping, in or out of town with her (Favorite Cousins) or her younger sister Patricia Paschal. Carmen was going to get her some clothes. Carmen also cherished the time with her nieces, younger cousins, and many friends, who she referred to as her daughters. Carmen didn’t have a biological daughter, But, in the spirit she had over 30 daughters, and they all know who they are. Carmen embraced the journey of her ancestry, searching for our family’s history, and the roots of Alzheimer’s/ Dementia in our family. Which would later take her life.

Carmen was a true servant of the Lord, her community, family and friends. She was an advocate for families in need, and every school year, Carmen would sponsor 100’s of kids in need of school supplies, and Back packs. Carmen was a member of YESHUA IS LORD MINISTRIES where she was part of the Dance Team, Usher Board and Service Ministries. Carmen also served at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church. Shady Grove Baptist Church, New Life Christian Center, and Full Gospel Assembly where she served as the First Lady for many years.

Carmen D Palm preceded in death by her (mother) Mary L Paschal, (stepfather) S.J. Paschal, (son) Michael A Palm.

Carmen leaves to cherish her memory are (father) Ben Jones, (son) Chiante D Palm (and wife) TaMara Palm; (Grandchildren) Chiante D Palm Jr and Zakai M Palm. (Sisters) Evon Palm. Stephanie Robinson, Patricia Paschal. (Brothers) Vincent Jones, Victor Jones, Brian (and wife) Angela Jones. Followed by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Friday, January 13, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.
