Carolyn Byrdsong

Carolyn Marie (Frazier) Byrdsong known to her family and friends as Tootie. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 28, 1944 to Mitchell R. and Edna A. Frazier. Tootie transitioned from earth to glory Thursday August 20, 2020.

Tootie was preceded in death by her parents Mitchell and Edna Frazier, Sister Norma Wharton, Brothers Bobby and Phylipp Frazier, Grandson William Roberts Byrdsong, Two Sons-in-Law Jeffrey Lacy and Lawrence Wade Jr

The Lord was introduced into her life at a very early age and she carried that love into her adult life. Tootie was a good mother and she taught her daughters to love the Lord with all their hearts. Tootie was a devoted member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where she was a member of the Inspirational choir for many years.

Our Mother was a fun loving, finger popping dancing sensation. Tootie never met a stranger and for those who came in contact with her fell in love with her instantly. She was a breath of fresh air and sunshine all rolled into one. She was an avid seamstress and one well-dressed sister.

Tootie met and married Charles Lee Byrdsong of Wadley Alabama in 1963 that was the love of her life and remained married until her death. From that union was born 4 beautiful daughters.

Tootie leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Charles; daughters, Carletta Kay (Jeremiah), Charlene Toye (Darrell) Osborne, Charletta ReNay (Edwind), and Charlanda (Leonard); sisters, Saundra (William) Goodwin and Patricia Turner; brothers/sisters-in-law, Beluah Patterson, Jerry Byrdsong, Tommy (Loraine) Byrdsong, Raymond (Julia), Jean (Hoarse) Turner, and Jimmy (Lynn); 2 God daughters and one God son; 8 grandchildren, Renesea, Giovanni (Maryann), Tajee, Travis (Staci), Keith, Wesley (Nautica), Kaymionna, and K’Vion; 14 great-grandchildren, Syr, Sy, Deomonte, Janae, Maurice, Promyse, Morgan, Kumarah, Tra’Mya, Donni, Amira, G’ Aunnie, Kha’Mari, and Travis Jr; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and best friend.
