Charlene Foster

Charlene Foster was born July 3,1950 to her late father and mother Clause Smith and Mary Rozelle in Columbus, Ohio.

From a very early age she worked for Ohio Health where she would later retire on February 21. She loved cooking which would bring all of her family to her house. She made everything from scratch and was known for desserts and her greens.

Charlene was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife. Her home was open to many as well as her heart. She enjoyed gardening, design, sewing, expensive stuff, and the color red. She was known for her beautifully decorated home, her Christmas trees, her delicious food, and her fabulous style. She had a loving spirit and would give you anything. Her illness never stopped her from being strong and independent. She kept a smile on her face and a pep in her step. She never let anyone see her down. She still got up every day until her last day.

Charlene was called home May 23, 2022, to be united with her children and husband. She is preceded in death by sons, Ronald Smith and Cornell Stewart; and daughter, Alicia Smith.

Charlene is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Stewart; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a heap of special nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
