Charlene Green was born to the proud parents Paulene Fair and Shelly Bassett on April 17th 1939 in Columbus, Ohio. Charlene departed this life surrounded by her loved ones on December 28th at 10:57 AM at OSU East Hospital.
Charlene was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Charlene graduated from East High School, which was where she met her loving husband of 61 years. Charlene was so loved by her husband George Green Jr, that she never had or needed to work a day in her life. Charlene shared herself and her unconditional love with her family and all she came in contact with. Charlene was always positive and upbeat. Always having and giving a caring word of wisdom. Charlene was a great bowler and a very outgoing person. Charlene had a deep love for sports of every kind, one of her known phrases was “Get that Quarterback!!”
Charlene is preceded in death by her grandmother Louida Clinkscales, grandfather William S. Fair, her mother Pauline Tucker (Fair , her father Shelly Bassett, her husband and the only true love of her life George Green Jr, and her sister Judy Wess (Tucker).
Those left to cherish her beautiful memories are: Son Lance Andre Green, Grandchildren JaVonni Green, Lance Haywood, Andre Green, Leeziah Green, Lanijah Green, and Anthony Tuck. Her Brother Robert K. Tucker, Sisters Cheryl Tucker, Rosanne Seals (Tucker) and Valarie Y. Tucker. Charlene also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Charlene is already deeply missed. May her loving memories live on in all of us and bring comfort to all who mourn her loss.
