Charles A. Lewis

Charles A. Lewis, age 91. Sunrise January 8, 1928 and Sunset May 27, 2019.
Charles A. Lewis born into a big family and was the last of his siblings to join our Lord Heavenly Father.

Charles Lewis accomplished many things in his life span from joining the Army, served in the Korean War and also built bridges. His biggest accomplishment was raising children to be the best they could. He specifically raised one child from the age of 2, Brandon Jackson. Their bond grew as father and son; Bone Head and Head Buster. The two of them would do anything for each other. They took care of each other in their time of need. There was no better bond. The laughs we used to have with him raising his fist and saying, “This is my Africa Soup Bone”. Any body that KNEW him or ever met him and needed help, you could always ask and if he had it to give, it was yours.

Charles A. Lewis is loved by everyone who knew him. He was the most caring, kind hearted, forgiving person anyone would ever meet. May he Rest In Paradise.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Alberta Levina Burnett and Joe Thefes Lewis; beloved wife, Ada L. Lewis; sisters, Marie, Helen, Carolyn, Grace, and Teena; brothers, John, James Lewis; daughter, Janet Cain; and grandkids, Leonard Cain Jr., Kelly M. Jackson.

He leaves to mourn his memory, grandchildren from Janet Cain, Shannon, Velma, David, and Dave (Marlo); daughters with their children, Pamala M. Jackson (Charles O’Bannon), Brandon L. Jackson (son/grandson), Ada K. (Darryl) Carter, Dawn L. Wallace O’Bannon & daughter Kel’Liyah, Renne R. Jackson Jr., Pamala M. Jackson, Kimberly M. Jackson-Sullivan, Aime N. Jackson, Lorraine Wallace, and Lelia Saunder, Robin Johnson, Ora Borden-Moore; and other family members and friends.
