Christine Pitts

Christine M Pitts, age 74, passed gently from our arms into the arms of Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

She was the second born of Homer, and Rosa Mitchell in Manhattan, New York.

Christine graduated from Rivers high school in Charleston South Carolina in 1968 and attended the Roper school of nursing in Charleston. She later became an LPN-M.

Christine met the love of her life, Russell David Pitts, who was stationed at the Charleston Air Force Base. They were united in marriage August 23, 1969, and through their union, they shared four children-who refer to themselves as the “fantastic four”

Christine leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy in this life : her sister Cassandra, (Watson) Cleckley, and brother Homer Mitchell Jr. her beloved husband Russell (PITDOGG) Pitts, Russell ‘Rusty’ Pitts, Jr., Rose (Kevin) Grier, Rashad (Paige) Pitts and Runako “Nip” (Jen) Pitts. Grandchildren: Russell Trai Pitts lll, Rhascia Pitts, Liberty-Rose D Pitts, Christion Pitts, Rushad Pitts, David Pitts, CJ Pitts, Ayriannah Pitts, Ahzoni Pitts, Axtyn Pitts, Albeni Pitts, Annistyn Pitts. They also share three great grandchildren; Iyla Flora Villanueva-Pitts, Oakley D.H. Pitts and Lyriq Daimerez Emerson-Pitts and a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
