Clara M. Cochran

Clara M. Cochran, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Mansfield community, was born on April 17, 1928, in Louisville, Kentucky. She peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on January 29, 2025, at the remarkable age of 96, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love.

Clara lived a life full of purpose and dedication. After earning her high school diploma from Mansfield Senior High, she devoted herself to a fruitful career at General Motors, where she retired after years of hard work and commitment. Clara's spirit shone brightly in all areas of her life. She was a proud member of the Oasis of Love Church, and her faith was a guiding light for her family and friends.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Clara delighted in cheering for her favorite teams and loved the challenge of completing puzzles that kept her mind sharp. Her laughter and kindness were a source of comfort to many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Welton Cochran Sr., and her two sons, Welton Cochran Jr. and William Cochran, along with numerous family members and friends who now celebrate her legacy in heaven.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter, Ellen L. (Bob) Ferguson; sons Raymond (Beverly Joan) Cochran and Anthony L. Cochran; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and an extensive network of family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Visitation 10:00am and Home Going Service 11:00am Thursday February 6, 2025 at The Oasis of Love Church 190 Chester Ave. Clara will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery.
