Consuelo Jackson was born August 9, 1923 to the late Cleve Allen, Sr. and Savanna Culliver Allen, the youngest of seven children. She passed away at her home on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Consuelo accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and was baptized at a young age in Andalusia, Alabama. In 1939, she moved to Mansfield Ohio, joined Mt Hermon Baptist Church. In 1942 she married Shedrick Jackson and to that union was born three children, Sandra Kay, Savanna Mae, and Patricia Ann.
On September 21, 1972 she started working for Grumman Flexible and retired after 11 years. During Consuelo's tenure of work, she was awarded the Pride of Workmanship Manager's and Directors Award for level one, two, and three. She was a hard worker and always said "Nothing will work unless you do the work".
Consuelo received many awards for her outstanding service working as a volunteer at the MOIC and for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Mansfield Memorial Homes. In 1990, she received a Certificate of Merit from Judge Payton for continuous participation faithfully of 10 years on the jury panel of Mansfield Municipal Court.
During Consuelo's lifetime, she was such a beautiful and gracious lady, well respected and loved by everyone, especially her family. Consuelo will be missed.
Consuelo was preceded in death by her husband Shedrick Jackson as well as her parents Cleve and Savanna, her children (Sandra Watkins, Savanna Jackson, Patricia Allen), four brothers (Rob Allen, Peter Allen, Fred Allen, DC Allen) and two sisters (Laura Jane, Rosie Fowler).
She leaves to cherish her memory to a host of 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 37 great-great grandchildren. To a special granddaughter Dr.Nicki Thomas (Jeffrey), great-granddaughters Chelea Watkins and Shaquanna Kay, nieces/nephews (Willer (Bill) Fowler, John Alton Fowler, Earline Tucker, Wilmer Fowler), and many more, cousins, nieces, nephews and world wide friends.
Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, June 14, 2024 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 292 Charles St. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery Association.
