Darlene Williams better known as Dee-Dee to many was born on July 23, 1980, in Newark, New Jersey to Jeffery Lawson Sr. and Lisa D. Watts.

Dee-Dee went to George Washington Carver and then graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ Class of 99. She loved family, and anyone who knew her loved her.

Dee-Dee liked to cook on her free time more like all the time. In 2001 she started dating the love of her life Chuck, who she married later in life together for 21 years strong.

Dee-Dee is preceded in death by her mother, Lisa Watts; husband, Jimmy Williams; and bonus son, Billy White.

She leaves behind her four children, Sabrea, Ta-Naisa, A’Niyah, and Jamil: Brother Michael Smith, Grandmother Beatrice Watts and Uncle, Kevin Watts.  special niece, Justuss; special nephews, Jalil, Myron, Craig, and a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, loved ones, best friend Rib, her lifetime sisters “The Sistas” and a host of friends.

Dee-Dee will be forever missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Visitation 4:00pm and Funeral 5:00pm Saturday, January 22, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
