David Shelton, Sr

David Anthony Shelton, Sr., age 47, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at his home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He was born on August 21, 1974 in Columbus to Linda Shelton (Eakes) and Donald Ray Slaton. David enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends and was a beloved father, brother, son, and uncle.

In his free time, David enjoyed playing chess, spending time with his friends, reading, traveling, and honing his video game skills.

David is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Aaron Shelton Sr; grandparents, Bert and Cledith Crank; nephew, Shermaine Williams; and niece, Asia Thompson. David is survived by his four children, David Shelton, Jr. of Columbus, Destiny Layne of Akron, Crissy Woods of Portsmouth, and Angelique Clay of New Albany; sisters, Melissa Woods and Alycia Shelton, both of Columbus; aunt, Brenda Crank, of Wisconsin; six nieces; ten nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews; and best friends, Carlton Greene and Careell Palmer.
