Deborah Moss

Deborah (Debbie) Lucille Jones Moss was born on March 16, 1951, and transitioned unexpectedly from this life on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Debbie has been a mother since her teenage years. She loved and cared for her family up until her transition.  The love and nurturing she showed to her children and grandchildren were unmatched. Her loyalty was to her family.

Debbie received her high school diploma from Central High School. She worked for the United States Post Office for some years before deciding to finish her undergraduate degree at Franklin University.  Debbie finished her work career with Value City before she retired in 2012.

Debbie loved her dogs and her plants!  People would sometimes stop by just to inquire about her beautiful plants she showcased in her front window.   Debbie was a jokester and loved her western and scary movies too. She loved telling scary stories to her grandchildren and she would always call her children each year with an April fools’ joke! Debbie was loved by everyone who met her and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents; Charles E. Jones and Dorothy A. Daniels Jones Moore; Grandson, Terrence (Tee) L. Manns, and brothers; Larry Jones and Charles Jones

Debbie leaves behind to cherish her precious memory, daughters; Kelly M. Jones, Kimberly M. Jones-Rogers, and Salena (Alshay) Guiahard, sons; Donald E. Moss (Kirstin), and Raymond Hatcher, grandchildren; Destiny Jones, Sasha-Nicole Rogers, Isiah Rogers,  DuNiqua Jones, Evin Moss, Jelani Rogers, Trinty Dawkins, Zaila Dawkins, Tazariah Dawkins, Amyah Gammon, Sa’Nyah Gammon, Raymond Hatcher, Jr. and Ar’Rayonna Hatcher, great-grandchildren; Datrell Liles, Essence Wooden, Dezwan Tucker, Mekai Morris, Amoni Morris, Keith (Trey) Woods III, Yalaiah Burke, Asiyah-Lynn Allison, and Eva M. Rogers, great-great Grandchildren, Terrence E. Manns, Reign Dawkins  and Zaire Mixon, siblings; Anita Johnson,  Barry Jones, Michele Jones, Richard (Janet) Jones, and Erwin (Sandra) Moore. Host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 3:00pm and Funeral 4:00pm Saturday, July 23, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.
