Delano “Lano” Royster

Delano Nathaniel Royster, “Lano”, was born March 1, 1994. At the age of 26 Lano passed away suddenly at Grant Medical Center July 2, 2020.

Delano was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Delano enjoyed many activities including working as a landscaper and spending quality time with family and friends and crafting his talent as a local musician. He was always the life of the party and kept a huge smile on his face. He had a big heart and generous spirit. We find comfort in knowing Delano accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age.

Delano is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Nathaniel Logan, maternal great grandmother; Ruby Mitchell Solomon and great grandfather Harry Royster.

He leaves his cherished memory to his mother; Deitra Royster, father; Andrew Harris, son; Jakari Wright and his son’s mom Markia Wright. Grandmother; Pauline Trice, grandfather; Johnny Trice. Sister’s Nidra (Angel) Butler, Alesandra Palmer, Tykeshia Lanier, Dominique Smith, Jamila Perry. Uncle; Reginald Trice, aunts; Johnnette (Damon) Trice-Marteina, Kimberly (Eugene) Shepherd and Teresa Cochran. Nephew; Nehemiah Palmer-Butler. Goddaughter; Sariyah Harris, Special cousin’s Nyerere Banks and Trevon Marteina. Special friend Maryssa Sotelo and best friends Desiree “Bookie” Davenport, Damone “Doc” Phillips, Erianna Brown and Latay McBrooks as well as, a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and family too many to name.

Delano will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
