Delores Davis

Delores Faye Davis was born to the late Clarence Smith and Mary Minor on Sunday March 6, 1938. She departed this earthly tent on Sunday July 31,2022.

Delores received Christ at an early age where she attended Third Baptist Church of Xenia, Ohio where she also learned to play piano, keyboard, and organ. She was also a majorette up until she graduated high school.

Delores went on to play for the Beloved Mighty Clouds of Joy. From there she went on to marry her best friend. They would have five beautiful children.

Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Minor and Clarence Smith; husband, Donald Walton, Jr.; son, Anthony Walton; sister, Elizabeth Phelps; granddaughters, Delores Taylor and Geneva Walton; and great grandson, Dae’Quan Prater.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Michelle (Jeffery) Taylor; sons, Robert (Vera) Walton, Donald Walton Sr., and Ernest Walton, Sr. (Della); brother, Glen Phelps; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
