Deshannon Hines

DeShannon Marie Hines, age 49, of Columbus, Ohio, born August 30, 1972, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2022.

DeShannon loved life and took pride in her family, especially her grandchildren. She had an insatiable sense of humor that lifted the spirit of everyone in the room. DeShannon enjoyed traveling and nature and had an affinity for dolphins. She had an entrepreneurial mindset that led her to launch her own catering business. She had a thirst for knowledge and was earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

DeShannon is preceded in death by her granddaughters, Ta’Liyah Hines and Sapphire Vann; grandparents, Mabel Prysock, Leroy Prysock, Doris Hines, and Edward Hines; aunts, Nora Jane Bryant and Phyllis Cason; uncles, Melvin Caldwell, Robert Prysock, and Morris (Sonny) Prysock; and best friend, Monica Sanders.

DeShannon is survived by loving daughter, Lanai Cason-Hines; son, Jaylan Wilson-Hines; mother, Margie Hines; father, Harold (Cynthia) Hines; sister, Trina (SchaScha) Charles; God brother, Christopher Jones; granddaughters, Ta’Laysha Hines and Kataleya James; grandson, KaDence Vann; nieces, Ke’Azia and  Ke’Sasha Charles;  great nephew, Jevon Woods; aunts, Helen Robinson, Mary Jane Caldwell, Anne Kershner, Rhonda Hines, Rose (Pumpkin) Forney and Trina Hines; uncles, Willie Prysock, Wilbert Prysock, and Edward (Bunny) Hines;; friend Lakeishia Fitzgerald; and a host of cousins and friends.

DeShannon will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
