Dewey Wayne Jones

Dewey Wayne Jones , age 68. Sunrise April 9, 1948 in Ripley, MS and Sunset July 10, 2016 in Columbus, OH. Dewey was a Veteran of The U.S. Army and was employed at Westinghouse Electric. He was a member of Genessee Avenue Church of Christ where he served as The Worship Coordinator. Dewey was a member of The DVA, Bread Justice Organization, and Golden Wisdom Seniors Ministry, and he also worked the Election Polls. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Lizzie and Dewey Matthew Jones, son Marcus Jones, and siblings Zilpha Bell, Lucille Bean, David Alexander, Joe Alexander, Eugene Jones and Elaine Jones. Left to cherish his memory, wife Ann Jones, daughters Secundra (Gerry) Parker, and Sheila Jones, stepchildren Valarie Ayers, Anthony Thomas, Jermaine Thomas, Alfred Thomas and Adam (Lakendra) Thomas, sisters Ida Hunt, Roberta (Thomas) Owens, and Sylvia Monroe, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 9:30 Saturday July 16, 2016 at Genessee Avenue Church of Christ 1889 Genessee Ave. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
