Donna Mae Ross

Donna Mae (Howard) Ross was called home on July 31, 2021. Donna was born November 12, 1944. She is the fourth daughter of William and Dorothy Howard.

Donna attended Central High School. She and her first love Abraham Craig were the parents of William B. and Eric L. Howard. Later, she went on to marry William Everett and Kimberly Everett Flood was born to this union. In her later years, she fell in love with Clarence Ross and they remained married until his transition in 2005.

Donna has always loved children and was the designated babysitter of many cousins, nieces, nephews, and neighbors. She also spent several years as a foster parent- sharing much kindness and love to those in need. She enjoyed cooking and interior decorating – she also spent time decorating her home as well as the homes of her sisters.

One of Donnas most precious joys was spending time with her daughter (Kimberly), her son-in-law (Taunn) and her grandchildren. She spent time traveling with them to Hawaii, Kentucky, Arizona, Massachusetts, and other places. Her son, Eric, was one of the greatest supports during her illness. He was there when she needed him most. Her surviving sisters Alice Young (Harold Young) and Linda Wilson were “thick as thieves” as children, teens, young adults, and seniors.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and William G. Howard. Her husband, Clarence Ross. Her eldest son, William Bruce Howard, and two of her older sisters, Betty Lou Bozeman and Charlene Ann McDaniels.

She leaves behind eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, the Baker family, as well as many friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donna Mae will be missed by all.
