Dontae Lamar Maurice Crowder

Dontae Lamar Maurice Crowder was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 29th, 1995, to Angela Lee Crowder and James Michael Hairston. He was the third son of seven siblings. He departed this life on Saturday, June 26th, 2021. He attended Independence High School and Columbus State Community College where he received his high school diploma and became a certified electrician. As a child he would attend Jerusalem Baptist Church with his mother. He married Porshea Lynn Ellis on June 1st, 2019, and they became Mr. and Mrs. Crowder.

Dontae loved to rap, dance, travel, make jokes, play video games with his younger brother Tyreck. He was an Atlanta Falcons, and a Los Angeles Lakers fan. Dontae was an employee at Speedway for three years before he decided to seek other opportunities in the electrical field. He was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a Super Father who loved spending quality time with his beautiful daughter Serenity. He was an Awesome Husband who loved Porshea with all his heart.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents; Beotis and Christine Crowder, great-great uncle, and aunt; Jessie B. and Marie Crowder, great-grandmother; Channie Mae Peppers-Miller, great-grandfather; Richard Coleman, grandfather; Charlie H. Spencer.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife Porshea Lynn Crowder, mother; Angela Lee Crowder, grandmother; Vivian Spencer, children; Serenity M.D. Crowder, Liam Plumley, uncles; Maurice Crowder and Keith Crowder, siblings; Michael A. (Keyiana Lee) St. Clair, Marco L. Crowder, Stephanie L. Cooks, Tyreck C. Crowder, JayJohnna C. Walker, and John A Walker III, grandmother; Betty Davis of Newark, Ohio, special aunt; Kandice Hairston of Newark, Ohio. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.

PRIVATE Visitation 9:00 AM Private Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
