Dorcy David Smith, Sr.

Mr. Dorcy David Smith, Sr. was born to Benjamin and Nannie Smith on March 20, 1930, in Spartanburg, SC. On January 19, 2024, Dorcy was called home to be with the Lord.

Dorcy was known for traveling and lived in many states, from New York to Georgia to name a few. In 2021, Dorcy decided to settle his last days in Columbus, OH to be near his family. Known for his beautiful smile, our beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend will truly be missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Nannie Smith; his sons, Victor Bridges and Dorcy David Smith, Jr.; his daughters, Jaquela Smith and Eula Smith; his brothers, Frank Smith, James Smith, and Ralph Smith; and sister, Annie Lucas.

He leaves to cherish and rejoice in his memory, son, Julian Smith; his sisters, Helen Williams and Sibbie Smith; his brother, Barry Smith; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
