Dorothy Dukes

Dorothy Nell Dukes was born in Valleymossa Springs, Alabama on November 11, 1948 to the late Aneva Chatman and Jimmy Rogers. She moved to Ohio in 1968 and was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Charles Dukes.

Dorothy Nell Dukes was a sweet and honest woman that spread love to whomever approached her presence. She loved her grandchildren the dearly. She will always send out her memorable words to help you comfort during the day and night. Talking To Dorothy was like a sense of peace in your heart.

On Monday, January 28, 2019 at approximately 11:18 pm, she departed this earthly life at the age of 70. She is preceded in death by her mother Aneva Chatman, two brothers Doris O’Neil Chatman, Elester Chatman, and sister Valamae Chatman.

She leaves to cherish in her memory, her brother James Chatman, sons and daughters; Connie Eugene Chatman, Teresa Ann Dukes, Dorothy Ann Dukes, Charles Dukes Jr., Jannifer Dukes, Stephanie Dukes, 25 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, February 8, 2019 at Union Tabernacle Church of God, 1345 Atcheson Street.
