Edward B. Pace

Edward B. Pace, 92 of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on, Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1928 in Columbus Ohio to the late Rosa May Pace and Lummie A. Pace Sr, the parentsthat proceeded him in death. Edward Pace was a 1947 graduate of Columbus East High School. He served in the Armed Forces of the United States Army stationed in Bremerhaven Germany from 1950 – 1952, and was Honorably Discharged. He was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Teakwood Heights Association. He was formerly employed as a certified master mechanic and retired from Capitol Manufacturing, Division of Harsco for more than 40 years. He was a great conversationalist. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, drafting, summers boating on Lake Erie, water skiing and travelling to visit family in different States with his late wife Frances R. Pace, and working on projects with his two sons. Edward served the community by helping others using his gifts and skills in electrical and automobile repairs. He loved to be around his children, grand-children and great granddaughter. Most of all he enjoyed technology with his laptop and iPhone. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances R. Pace, parents Rosa May Pace and Lummie A. Pace Sr , sisters, Helen Rose(Clifford), Katherine Pace, brother Lummie A. Pace Jr. He leaves to cherish in memories loving sons, Wayne E. (Cheryl) Pace, Gale E. (Angela) Pace; grandchildren, Krista, Devin, Garon, Hadley, Hanna; great granddaughter, Lajla; nieces, Beverly (Mark) Pinkston, Rosalyn (Otis) Glover, Denise Pace, Vivian (Inman) Sullivan, Karen Rose; nephew Richard (Deena) Pace; great nephew John Neal, as well as a host of relatives andfriends. Service will be held on Saturday January 2nd, 2021 with viewing at 9am – 10am, private family service 10am-11am at Bethany Baptist Church, 959 Bulen Avenue, Columbus, Oh, 43206. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery 5600 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio; Public Visitation 9:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Bethany Baptist Church, 959 Bulen Ave. Interment with Military Honors at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
