Elder Derrick Demore Crutchfield, a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 63. He was born on December 18, 1959, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Bonnie and Robert Crutchfield Jr.
Derrick was a graduate of Malabar High School in 1978 and worked many years at General Motors. He was a devoted Deacon and served on the Word Team at The Oasis of Love Church of God in Christ, where he touched the lives of many with his compassion, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Derrick was preceded in death by his father, Robert Crutchfield Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, TaLaina M. Elder and Miesha F. Bolden; his mother, Bonnie D. Crutchfield; his sister, Felecia M. (Kevin) Robinson; his brothers, Adrian L. Crutchfield and William Ross; his three grandchildren, YaKyra, MaKaya, and Rihanna Marshall; his great-grandson, Damoni Patrick; his special friend, Resi Jeter, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 3, 2023, at The Oasis of Love Church of God in Christ, located at 190 Chester Ave, Mansfield, Ohio. Superintendent Gregory E Jordan will deliver the eulogy. Derrick will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery.
