Mr. Elliott Norman Harris, age 65. Sunrise March 23, 1957 and Sunset October 18, 2022.
Elliott was a 1975 graduate of Columbus East High School, where he was known for his gregarious personality. After high school he joined the US Navy where he honed his interest in radio operations.
Upon his return to Columbus in 1996 he landed at radio station WSMZ where he became known as the on-air personality, Stormin’ Enorman. He also worked as a music director at WSMZ and later at WVKO. After leaving the air, he founded Stay Relevant Music and in his own words provided “talent for events all over the planet. Artists that might cost you less but provide the best in live music.”
Elliott was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey B. Harris and is survived by his mother Joan Harris, sister-in-law, Debra Shanklin, nieces Chenelle Jones and Chevonne Harris and nephew Winfield Harris. He is also survived by his aunt Phyllis Ward who he credited with introducing him to a wide range of music. He leaves behind numerous cousins including Eloise Morris, Ruth (Roger) Hudson, Stephanie Ward, Jenner Barrington-Ward, Victoria (Terrence) Ward-Corbin and Melinda (Ken) Huss. Many friends mourn his passing including special friends Debbie Franklin, Athelia Lewis and Priscilla White.
