Ennis Ann Houston

Ennis Ann Houston sunrise December 24, 1947 in Athens, Alabama, daughter of the late Carl Howard-Mosely and Elizabeth Mosley. Ennis departed this life peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Ennis was a virtuous woman who accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant. She attended Temple Compassion Church. She worked for the American Red Cross for over 20 years, where she was recognized on numerous occasions for her exceptional leadership.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Johnny Houston; sons, Marcus L. Houston and recently deceased Dale Houston; brother Carl Mosley Jr.

Ennis leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, LaWonda Y. Houston; sister, Barbara Mosely Peyton; brother, Steve Mosely; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Houston and Edda Houston; grandchildren, Maria N. Houston, Marcus L. Houston Jr.,; step-grandchildren Ashley Vance, Krishana Vance, Dachell Scales, D’Angelo Grant, Dalevonte Vance; great-grandchild, Sierra Houston; special beloved nephew, Brian Peyton, niece Jocelyn (David) Dowe; special friend, Evelyn Hagwood; and a host of several other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, great-nieces and nephews; and Goddaughter, Marcie Brown.

Ennis was dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed; however, we know that she is in heaven where she is forever healed.

PRIVATE (TICKET REQUIRED) Visitation 1:00 PM Funeral 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
