Erma Marie Thacker

Erma Marie Thacker, 85, passed away on January 13, 2016 after a long illness. She was born on June 28, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to Sarah Marie Scott and William Lawrence Ellison.

Erma was married to Charles William Thacker for over 60 years. She graduated from Columbus East High School. She was a stay at home mom until she went to work at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles until she retired. Erma was a seamstress, a homemaker, and a mom to her children, grandchildren and the village.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Jane, Mary and Donna; and brother, Richard.

Erma leaves to mourn her passing, daughters, Felecia and Lynda of Columbus, Ohio, Connie (James) of Johnstown, Ohio and Angela (Jeffrey) of Copley, Ohio; sons, William (Pamelyn), Timothy (Tanya) of Columbus, Ohio, Steven of West Virginia; 18 Grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Family will receive friends at 12:00 noon and a Memorial Service will be held begin at 12:30pm, Saturday, January 16, 2016  at Centenary United Methodist Church, 2048 Denune Ave., Columbus, 43211. Condolences can be sent to 2699 Joyce Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43211.
