Ernestine Barker-Williams

Ernestine Barker (Stennie) Williams was born July 28, 1938. In Loganville, Ga. Born to parents of Blondine Catlin and Farris Hammonds. Ernestine moved to Columbus Ohio in 1960.

She married Alfred W. Williams, Jr. in 1985. She was employed with The Ohio State University Hospital, as Surgical Sterile Tech where she retired after 28 years of employment. After retirement she found a love for McDonalds, where she worked for an additional 13 years, as a lobby host.

In 2019 she re-dedicated her life to the Lord and was baptized by her Pastor’s Richard & Linda Reiter, of Vineyard Christian Church. After her baptism she began to study her bible daily.

She was preceded in death by her parents Blondine Catlin and Farris Hammonds, husband Alfred W. Williams Jr., Sister Ethel Ruth Berry, niece Tynyah Catlin and nephew Antoine Deshawn Tanyhill.

Loving memories are cherished by her daughters, Teresa (Russell) Beckley, Tonette Barker; sons Wendell Barker, Trent Barker. Brother, Richard Watson; sisters Geneva Tanyhill, Mary Ogletree, Mattie Demons, Evelyn Heard, Wanda (James)Watson; grandson Keyon Beckley; grand-daughters Keisha (David) Crump, Tonique Barker, Leticia Barker, Shnique Bright. 12 great-grand children’s. And a host of other extended family members and dear friends.

Private Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Vineyard Christian Church, 1055 McNaughten Rd. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
