Eugene Gilmore

Eugene Gilmore was born to John and Irene Gilmore on December 16, 1942, in Amherst, West Virginia, and raised
in Pensacola, Florida. He later married and relocated his family to Columbus, OH, where he raised his children.

Eugene Gilmore was a devoted servant of the church. Eugene was an ordained Elder at Higher Ground Ministries under Bishop Sherman Watkins. In addition, he regularly encouraged the sick and shut-in by preaching at nursing homes, hospitals, and prisons in his community with Rhema Christian Center under the leadership of Apostle La Fayette Scales.

Eugene Gilmore has left his family with a legacy of faith and encouragement. He raised his children and taught his
grandchildren to be faithful to the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; John Gilmore and Irene Kerbo, brother; Nathaniel Gilmore, wife; May Gilmore, daughter; Cassell Gilmore.

Eugene is a beloved father and uncle and is survived by his four children and their spouses, including Lynette
Gilmore-Perkins (Eric Perkins), Lisa Gilmore-Harrell (Dan Harrell), Laura Gilmore-Irons (Eric Irons), and Kenneth
Rodgers (Melissa Rodgers). In addition, he is survived by his nieces; Carol Gilmore-Lomax, Cathy Gilmore, and Canae
Gilmore-Hines, grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive him and will miss him greatly.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
