Fannie Brown

Fannie Brown passed quietly at her residence on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born October 29,1950 in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee.

Fannie was a proud graduate of Central High School and later attended Columbus Business College where she earned an Associate Degree in Business.  Later she ventured out to explore other career opportunities, she graduated from Kathleen Busch Modeling School leading her into professional runway modeling, around Columbus, Cleveland, New York, and Washington D.C. Later employed at Barbizon Modeling School here in Columbus (First Black Modeling Instructor) then decided to pursue a career in cosmetology as she developed a love for platform make-up artistry, hairstyling, and special training in Chicago, Illinois for sculptured nails. She later worked at Kenneth’s in Upper Arlington and decided to open her own salon Artistic Designs.  Fannie was former member of Rehoboth Temple and later joined Rhema Christian Center.  She had a passion for helping others, with ministries at Rhema Christian Center. She dedicated several years to Ameri Corps Vista. Fannie was a long-time member with the Eastern Star chapter in Columbus, Ohio.

Fannie is preceded in death by her parents James and Minnie Brown, son Michael Brown, daughter Mia Brown, sister Minnie A. Brown.

Fannie leaves to cherish fond memories and celebrate her life; grandchildren Micah Brown, Jahmia Brown, Precious Brown, Deshown Salle, Terrik Enoch, Mya Brown, Sincere Brown, great grandchildren Nehemiah Brown, Noah Brown, Noelle Brown, Nathaniel Brown, Savon Salle, Nyomi Brown, La’ny Stevens, Lamar Stevens, Elijah Clark, Jannia McAfee, special niece Kimson (Edgar) Johnson, special nephew Markkus Brown, sister Janis (Reginald) Bryant. A host of other loving family and many special friends.

Fannie will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Private Viewing  1:00pm and Private Funeral 2:00pm Friday, October 1, 2021 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Masks and Social Distancing are required for all services and Tickets required for Private Services.
